Senior QA Engineer for Test Automation and Migration

Project details:

You will join a project focused on modernizing an industrial IoT and telematics platform. The main objective is to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the modernized system through automated testing and migration validation.

You will work closely with the customer’s engineering teams to develop test strategies, implement automated testing solutions, and support the migration of legacy components to a modern AWS environment.

Project duration: Approx. 8 months, 80% allocation

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement test strategies and automated testing frameworks
• Develop and maintain automated API, integration, UI, and end-to-end tests
• Validate event-driven workflows, data processing, and system integrations
• Perform migration testing, data consistency checks, and regression testing
• Coordinate IoT device simulation and hardware integration testing
• Execute performance, load, security, and failure scenario tests
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Validate backup, recovery, and rollback procedures
• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle
• Prepare test documentation, reports, and acceptance evidence

Expectations:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with automated API, integration, and E2E testing
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or TypeScript)
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as pytest, JUnit, Playwright, or similar
• Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated testing environments
• Experience with performance, load, and regression testing
• Understanding of cloud-based environments, preferably AWS
• Experience with migration testing, data validation, and rollback scenarios
• Knowledge of test planning, defect management, and test documentation
• Good command of English

Nice to have:

• Experience testing event-driven architectures and messaging systems
• Familiarity with MQTT, Modbus, or industrial IoT protocols
• Experience with device simulators and hardware integration testing
• Knowledge of security testing and failure recovery scenarios
